Wild Water Tenkara Rod

• Tenkara Fishing originates in Japan
• Tenkara uses a rod with a special line attached to the tip. There is no fly reel to hold the line.
• This rod is a 12′ 9 section telescopic IM8 Graphite rod. Weights 3.4 ounces.
• Rod sections are stored in the butt section of this rod and when collapsed, the rod is 20.5″ in length. Perfect for traveling!
• The rod will come in a cloth bag and in a Wild Water hard storage case that is 23″ in length.
• Cloth bag protects the rod while in storage.
• Aluminum end cap on rodhandle unscrews to allow removal of rod sections.
• Plug fits into packed rod to protect during storage.

Tenkara Line

• 10.5′ Chartreuse Furled Level Line.
• Line is furled (twisted) and is supple with almost no memory.
• Tippet material is attached to the ring at the end of the line as a leader.
• Fly attaches to the end of the tippet
• Line attaches to the rod with a loop connection.
• Detailed instructions for setting up your Tenkara are in the reference manual.

EVA Foam Spool

• Spool replaces a traditional fly fishing reel.
• Foam spool easily fits onto the rod for temporarily storing the tenkara line while you walk with your rigged rod.

Tippet Material

• 30 meters
• 5X, clear nylon monofilamet
• 4.4 lb. test
• Attach to end of Tenkara line with loop connection or clinch knot.
• Tie your fly onto the end of the tippet.

Line Winders/Hook Keeper

• Included with this package are 2 sets of rubber O-rings and 2 hooks.
• Can be used as a line winder in place of EVA Foam Spool or as a hook keeper.

Line Nipper Tool

• Line nipper tool to easily trim your tippet, leader or line
• Nail Knot tool included.
• Needle for cleaning out the hook eye.
